·Won the 125cc World Championship at age 18 with Repsol Honda, earning five victories in 14 races … Secured the championship at Malaysia - two Grands Prix before the end of the season - then broke both ankles in a practice crash one week later at the Australian Grand Prix.

2002

·Finished third in the 125cc World Championship for Repsol Honda, securing nine podium finishes and victories at Netherlands, Japan and Valencia.

2001

·Made his World Championship debut riding a Honda in the 125cc series … Finished eighth in points.

2000

·Finished fourth in the 125cc Spanish championship riding for the Movistar Junior Team.

1999

·Finished eighth in the Movistar Activa Cup.
