i copied the below from an old IRL rule book

(1) Rule 4.2(B)(2)(c)(ii) The rookie orientation test consists of 40 laps: 4 phases of 10 laps per phase. the phases and corresponding speeds used during the 2002 rookie orientation test session were:

    1st phase    200 - 205 mph range
    2nd phase   205 - 210 mph range
    3rd phase    210 - 215 mph range
    4th phase     in excess of 215 mph

I think the speeds were the same this year. I have not seen any of the Offiical Rule Books for sale anywhere to get an updated copy. If anyone knows the current speeds the info would be appreciated.
