 Loyalty Reward Idea
The stories of families and fans that had held tickets for the 500 for many years prompted and idea I would like to share.  I think it would be wonderful if the Speedway would reward long-time consecutive-year ticket holders by offering a "suite experience."  Many of the most loyal Indy fans never have the opportunity to watch the race (or qualifying from the comfort of a suite.  Perhaps this special perk could be given to those who are 50-year ticket holders.  Or maybe 33 years for the symbolism.  Just an idea.  What do you think?

 Long-time tickets holders
I like the idea of some sort of perk for longevity but one the things I really enjoy, having had the same seats for the 500 for over 30 years, is seeing the same people every year.  We've seen kids grow up and start to bring their own kids (I've done that myself, come to think of it) and we've mourned the loss of some of our "one-day-a-year" neighbors.  Speaking just for myself, I'm not sure I would watch the race from somewhere else even if I had the chance to be in a suite.  I'm just a traditionalist, I guess.

Some other incentives or perks would be nice though.  Maybe bronze badges for ticket holders of ten or more consecutive years, or maybe they could set up something similar to the Old-Timers Club if you've had seats for twenty-five or more years.  Something like that.
